Little Computer People "Electro Pop" Album Review

Genius electro from Rother
This album is pure electro fun. The songs are all great electro, but the song "Little Computer People" is worth the price of the whole cd. That track is about as sinister and funky as an electro track can be. If you are not lucky enough to purchase this album, then check out Depth Charge's "Electro Boogie." Depth Charge (aka J. Saul Kane) includes the track "little computer people" on that mix album as well as 2 or 3 other Rother tracks. Some tracks from Electro Pop also show up on Dr. Lectroluv compilations.

Robert Miles "23 am" Album Review

New Age And Jazz
I bought this album on the strength of how much I adore "DreamLand". I am big into ambiant trance, and vocal trance, but this album comes off as elevator music. It does have some very soothing music, and if your into chill out buy this album. I like chill out music, but I bought this evpecting another voyage into trance, and found it to be lacking.

There is some very good horn work, and I loved the tracks "Heatwave" and "Maresais". Robert miles does one thing well, and thats blend generas that normally don't work well togther. Several moments in this album have muted conversations in the background as well as babies and waves. These are all nice touches, and would have worked in very well if this was a trance album. But sadly, this one leans far towards elevator music.

Layo and Bushwacka "Low Life" Album Review

Okay, but wanted more "deep south"

It's fairly decent, i mean, i wouldn't throw out the CD or anything. It's just that I had heard "deep south" and was crazy about it, and wanted more.... but seems like there's only one of those!

Well, ya just keep trying, right? Sometimes you hit it right, sometimes not. It's a personal thing; like i said, i wouldn't throw out the cd. I'm glad it's here if not just for that one song, that's how much i like it!!!

Mr Scruff "Trouser Jazz" Album Review

pretty impressive
I usually get bored with house/acid jazz/electronica sounds. They are usually too repetitive for my taste, with some exceptions.

This is one of the exceptions. Impressive sounds and variety.

Video Mr Scruff - Shrimp Music Video

Here is a little music video for the Mr Scruff song I like. Its got video clips I shot and dug up to use for the vid. all sorts in here with some serious colour manipulation and effects. Enjoy!
